Open Studio Hours
VisArts is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Our studios are available for community studio renters outside of our classes each week with morning, afternoon and evening options. We also offer regular hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. A full schedule of studio hours is listed on each of our studio pages.
-
Hourly Access
Hourly access is best for those who want to try out our studios for the first time, finish up a project or for those who aren’t sure how often they’ll use a studio. It can also be a great option for people who might only need a few hours between classes at VisArts. Hourly renters will be restricted to monitored open studio hours only in certain studios. Check out our studio pages to learn more. For more access to unmonitored hours, check out monthly or annual access.
For hourly renters, it’s important to remember that charges are always rounded up to the nearest hour and a credit card number must be kept on file. All community studio renters must sign in and out but it’s especially important for hourly renters. Failure to sign out will result in your credit card being charged for the full day’s open studio hours.
-
Monthly Access
Monthly access is good for 30 days from the date you are approved as a studio renter. We expect that monthly renters will have demonstrated experience in the studio and an established creative practice which gives them access to both monitored and unmonitored open studio hours. This access level also comes with shared storage which varies by studio. Monthly access renters will need to renew their rental each month and those who wish to purchase multiple months should consider annual access.
-
Annual Access
Annual access is perfect for people who have a steady artistic practice and want ongoing access to our studios. Annual access provides community studio renters with a full year of access from the date they are approved. We expect that annual renters will have demonstrated experience in the studio and an established artist practice which gives them access to both monitored and monitored open studio hours. Annual access comes with individual storage which varies by studio. For your convenience, VisArts can split your annual studio access payment into equal monthly payments.
