Imagine and create fictional creatures with air-dry clay. Develop characters and combine attributes of real organisms to make fictional hybrids. You’ll use basic hand-building techniques in air dry clay to render forms that express the function of the creature’s capabilities.

In this workshop we will use laser toner decals, experiment with underglaze transfers, and incorporate text and stamp imagery. Focus will be practicing these techniques on handmade tiles, however many of these applications can be formatted for use on wheel-thrown or sculptural work.
