The Visual Arts Center of Richmond presents “Of Mud & Blood,” an exhibition that features collaborative works by Central Virginia-based ceramicists and tattoo artists. This exhibition explores these centuries-old crafts through various vessels, sculptures and any other form the work may take. Known for both of their own traditional styles and techniques, the artistic practices of clay and tattooing come together to bridge these two worlds.
Pieces from this exhibition are on auction starting November 12th at 9am through December 20th 2021 ending at 7:59:59 PM, EST. Please visit www.ofmudandblood.givesmart.com to access the silent auction. All proceeds from this auction will be split between two local Richmond organizations, MAD RVA and Health Brigade, as well as community partnership programs at VisArts.
The opening reception for ‘Of Mud & Blood’ is on Friday, November 12th from 5:30-7 p.m. For a limited time only, VisArts will hold a raffle to win a number of decorated tiles from the exhibition beginning November 12th – 14th, available in-person only at VisArts.
