Classes

Printed Protest: Letterpress Posters for Change

Explore the medium of the letterpress poster and its various historical and contemporary uses in protest messaging. Participants will workshop and discuss language, reach, and use and then plan their own poster in a size of their choice. We will cover the basics of safe typesetting, composing a piece, proofing, letterpress printing, using the flat-bed and proofing presses, as well as learning many inking techniques such as split-fountain color.
