Poetry Fest Workshop: Poetry Comics
Comics are a magical bridge from text to image. Working with prompts, we will experiment with combining images and words to make something greater than the sum of its parts. No prior experience necessary.
Special Notes
- Participants will need to bring paper and writing utensils. This class is free-of-charge, however if you need to drop it, please call (804-353-0094) or email (frontdesk@visarts.org) the front desk ASAP so that we may open up a slot to the waitlist. You will not be charged a drop fee.
About the Instructor
Rae Whitlock
Rae Whitlock is a multimedia artist and educator living and working in Richmond, Virginia. She has an MFA in Performance Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she also taught Art History and Writing. She has had the pleasure of teaching all age groups through VisArts since 2019 and aims to make art fun and accessible for everyone.
