Introduction to Lace Knitting
Learn the basics of lace knitting. We will cover some history and different traditions of lace as well as reading pattens and charts, basic lace stitches, cast ons and bind offs. We will complete a bookmark project in class.
Special Notes
- Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
Materials List
Students should bring straight or 16” circular knitting needles, size 0-4 to match weight of yarn, lace or fingering weight yarn (nothing too fluffy or hazy, avoid mohair), and basic knitting notions.
