VisArts Recruiting Studio Monitors for Fall 2019 Session
The Visual Arts Center of Richmond is recruiting studio monitors for the fall class session, which runs from September 9 through November 24.
VisArts is accepting applications for monitors in the following media: Clay, creative writing, digital arts, drawing + painting, fiber, flameworking, glass, letterpress, metals, photography, printmaking and wood.
Studio monitors must have demonstrated skills in a specific medium, be comfortable monitoring the studio and be confident in their ability to safely operate both equipment and tools in that space.
Studio monitors volunteer in the studio of their choice for at least five hours per week, and in exchange they earn:
- One free class per session (for use during the session in which they volunteer or the session immediately following it)
- Free open studio access during the session in which they volunteer
- Use of the digital lab space including access to the full Adobe suite
Studio monitors must commit to volunteering for at least one complete, 12-week session. Weekly open studio hours remain the same throughout each session.
