Rachel is a longtime wielder of paint brushes, instigator of mess-making and encourager of artistic dreams! Originally from St. Louis, she joined VisArts’ staff in 2018. You can also catch her teaching art at VisArts and at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Rachel earned her BA in studio art and linguistics and her MEd in visual arts from the University of Mary Washington. She loves introducing students to materials and techniques that are new to them and helping bring unique ideas to life.
