About the Instructor

Mary Buchanan

Mary Buchanan has a BFA in printmaking from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and an MIS in craft and mixed media from Virginia Commonwealth University. She received the Jurors’ Award for Surface Design Excellence for her entry into Quilt Visions 2012: Brainstorms. In 2011, she spent time as a Walter Gropius Master Artist at the Huntington Museum of Art. Mary's quilted textiles have been exhibited both nationally and internationally; and were most recently juried shown as a part of Art Quilt Elements 2016 at The Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
