About the Instructor
Alexis Stratton
Alexis Stratton is originally from Illinois but has spent their life in many homes, from New Orleans to South Korea. They received an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of South Carolina, and they currently work as a freelance writer in Richmond, Virginia. Their fiction has appeared in storySouth, Hayden's Ferry Review, Blue Mesa Review, and Duende, among other publications. In 2023, they won the James River Writers Best Unpublished Novel Contest, and in 2024, they coauthored a nonfiction book, Trans Kids, Our Kids: Stories and Resources from the Frontlines of the Movement for Transgender Youth, that was published by Ig Publishing.
