Poetry Fest Workshop: Writing Poems of Protest, Resistance, and Empowerment

This generative workshop will illustrate why poetry is necessary and sought-after during times of crises and change. Through prompts and discussion, we will explore how poetry can offer us not only a place to put the heat but also a place to find rest, renewal and community as we write our way together towards a better future.

Special Notes

  • Participants will need to bring paper and writing utensils. This class is free-of-charge, however if you need to drop it, please call (804-353-0094) or email (frontdesk@visarts.org) the front desk ASAP so that we may open up a slot to the waitlist. You will not be charged a drop fee.
