Pattern Weaving on a Frame Loom

Learn how to create simple patterns using a frame loom. Students will review some frame loom weaving basics, including warping and plain weave. Weaving will include two shuttles to create twill and chevron patterns, exploring how small variations can create different pattern effects.

Special Notes

  • Prior weaving experience needed with either frame loom or floor loom.
    This course welcomes repeat students. One package of metal clay is included with the materials fee, extra metal clay will be available for purchase in class for an additional cost.

About the Instructor

Kate Koconis

Kate Koconis is a weaver and owner/creator of L.B.S. Studio. She been weaving and exploring all that the craft has to offer for the last 16 years. She weaves out of her home studio, in Providence Forge, VA.
