Classes

ONLINE: Publishing Your Book

Whether working on a novel or a memoir, and whether it’s an idea in your head or a manuscript in your hand, this two-hour class will provide you with a sense of what comes next. We’ll talk about large presses, small presses, and self-publishing. We’ll also talk about the differences between pitches and synopses, and how both of them come in handy. In the first part of class, we’ll take a step-by-step tour through the publishing industry, including the roles of literary agents and editors. In the second part of class, we’ll open up the floor to talk about our individual projects.
