About Exhibitions in the True F. Luck Gallery
Exhibitions in VisArts’ True F. Luck Gallery showcase contemporary art by living artists that represent craft media at all stages of their careers. VisArts is dedicated to empowering artists throughout their creative journey, fostering works that enrich their practice and igniting ideas about the artistic process through educational programming. Both VisArts’ gallery and residency programs aim to provide artists the time, space, and resources to explore and expand their creative boundaries, allowing artists to develop original works to show in the gallery. Our mission is to bring artists’ visions to life while cultivating a vibrant community of engaged visitors to the gallery. VisArts’ exhibitions and Engage program are always free and open to the public.

Scholastics National Tour Show
December 6, 2025 – January 11, 2026
The Visual Arts Center of Richmond is honored to exhibit national winners of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative students in grades 7–12. This exhibition is part of a limited traveling tour across the US.
Scholastic Art + Writing Awards 2026
February 7 – 22, 2026
The Visual Arts Center of Richmond is honored to exhibit regional winners of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in Central Virginia, the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative students in grades 7–12.
Annual Residents Exhibition
March 6 – April 12, 2026
The Visual Arts Center of Richmond presents an exhibition of work by the VisArts’ Annual Resident Artists. Over the past six months, these artists used resources available at VisArts to develop their creative practices, explore varied media and make new work.
Collector’s Night Exhibition
April 23 – May 2, 2026
Collectors’ Night, launched in 1987, is the Visual Arts Center of Richmond’s most significant annual fundraising event. The 350-person gala is held every year and includes a cocktail reception, a silent auction and a seated live auction.
Studio Access Resident Exhibition (Fall+Winter 2025-26)

The Visual Arts Center of Richmond presents an exhibition of multi-media works from 15 resident artists in the Studio Access Residency program from the past 6 months.
