Learn to draw Anime and Manga style characters. These workshops will cover illustration techniques that will help cartoonists develop their own characters and scenes drawn in the popular Japanese cartooning styles.

Black & White Darkroom Photography
Ages 13 - 16
In this comprehensive photography course you will use a 35mm camera and the darkroom to explore your photographic vision. There will be field trips throughout the class and the opportunity to photograph outside of class as you develop your own photographic style to begin building a portfolio. The course includes lessons in basic camera operations, and we will discuss the aesthetic aspects of composition, timing, and subject matter. Students will learn to print images using traditional darkroom techniques. Students will need a 35mm camera. There is an additional $30 materials fee which includes film, processing, paper, and chemistry.

If you have ever looked at a poster or a t-shirt and thought, “I could do better than that!” this class gives you a chance to prove it. Students will work on Mac G5’s to learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to produce personalized designs for t-shirt transfers, CD covers, and more.
