Wood:
Intermediate Wood Turning
Intermediate/Advanced
This class is for students who have taken Woodturning Basics and or who have prior experience with woodturning. Techniques such hollow or end grain turning, multi axis spindles, coning wood, working with green wood, and shaping wood using carving tools will be introduced. Students will have an opportunity build skills and work on projects. Students should bring their own face shields and tools.

Woodturning Basics
Beginner/Intermediate
Discover the wonders of turning spindles, bowls, and plates from found local woods. Instruction focuses on the basic concepts for safety, proper lathe and tool usage, sharpening techniques, basics of wood structure, and design issues. The instructor demonstrates both spindle and faceplate work. Students will complete two projects. Class is limited to four students. All tools and materials are provided. Saturday students should bring lunch.
